But as time goes by, clipping has evolved and became an art form and fashion for some people. The style you choose largely depends on you - your lifestyle, your willingness to spend time grooming and the purpose of your Poodle (appear in show rings, household pet, etc). If you are a proud owner and believes that your dog can shine in show rings, then you should choose a show clip for this is the only official clip allowed. Show clips could be continental clip or English saddle clip. In the continental clip, the face, throat, feet and part of the tail are shaved. The upper part of the legs is shaved leaving pompons around the ankles. There is also a pompon at the end of the tail. English saddle clip is similar to continental in which the face, throat, feet and part of the tail are shaved. The hindquarters are not shaved except for a curved shaved area on each flank and two shaved bands on each hindleg. A Poodle under one year old may be shown in the puppy clip. In the puppy clip, the face, throat, belly and base of the tail are shaved. There is a pompon on the end of the tail. Shaping of the coat is allowed for neatness.
Dachshund Coats Kinds like these have doxie cuts and the normal cuts. They have shorter girth or width built especially for dogs with short legs. These doxie coats also fit other dog breeds such as maltese, bichon, shih tzu, jack russell short leg, lhasa apso, corgi narrow body, and peke. Normal cut coats are exclusively for dachshunds. Sizes are 10,12,13,14, 16, and 18 inches. Popular styles are snuggler, plaid turnout, and nylon turnout. These coats come in assorted colors.
Something Popular Could Be The Right Answer - Of course like all things and types of pets there are some breeds which always stand out. One is the Maltese. This is easily one of the popular small dog breeds because of its cuteness and also its gentle nature with young children. While this breed is known for its gorgeous white coat it will need grooming regularly. Another excellent choice is the Pug. With wrinkles that will make anyone fall in love these little guys make a great lap dog that won’t require much exercise. You will want to keep them protected from very high temperatures though. Now you know the basics for getting started with the small dog breeds. With a little patience, thinking, and reading up on your different options it won’t be hard to find a tiny pooch just for you!
